General Info
Christianity is a religion that follows a God who has a few different titles, one being 'Adonai'. He can also be called 'God Most High' or 'God Almighty'. Christians believe that his son, Jesus Christ, came to Earth and sacrificed himself for the good of mankind. They usually follow both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, and Mormon Christians follow the Book of Mormon.
Sects of Christianity
Don't matter here. But I will put up information about them anyway.
Catholics
Not always, but generally more 'classic'. They usually use a King James version of the Bible, and like to keep things simple. They usually don't have a band, but a choir and organ.
Protestants
Also 'classic', typically use the King James version.
Mormon
A little different from the other Sects, Mormons believe that a man named Joseph Smith met Christ, and wrote another book.
Sectless
These are Christians who don't belong to a sect, and follow the Bible in a more personal way to them. Sectless churches are usually more 'modern', and may have a rock band. They use any type of Bible, but the New International Version is typical.
Relations to Jews and Muslims
Jewish and Muslim religion follow the same God as Christianity, at least in theory. Both of those religions follow the Old Testament, but keep in mind that the 'Muslims' you usually hear about today are extremists and do not follow the Muslim religion in any way, shape, or form, as Muslim is possible more peaceful than Buddhism.
Satanists
Are not Christians. It is not a sect of Christianity or anything like that. The very definition of a Christian is someone who follows Christ, and just because someone follows the same Satan of the Bible, it does not make them a Christian. Quite the opposite, actually.
General Morals and Beliefs
Christians typically follow the law, and believe that murder, rape, and stealing are wrong. They believe that everyone should be treated equally, and that all praise should go to God. They also believe that kindness is a virtue, even if not all Christians practice it.
Creation Theories
Many Christians believe that God literally created the Earth in 6 days. Some believe that he created evolution and used that to make the Earth, giving it the first spark of life. Some may believe something else entirely, Christianity can be pretty varied.
Please keep in mind that not all Christians believe all these things.
