Although I prefer to call myself 'Tanninyn'.
I don't think my kin type is made of flesh, but something like glass.
It looks like a western dragon, having four limbs and two wings. It also have two slightly curved horns, thumbs on every limb, and three tails, the two on the outside being smaller than the one on the inside. There is a lump on the end of the tail, it looks kind of like a stone. It has a beak, sharp teeth, and a long tongue. It does not have scales, but is very smooth. It is white at noon and black at midnight, going from shades of blue and purple in between. The inner parts are always white, and some parts glow white at night.
An average man would stand about a foot below the shoulder. The wings are big, and have four fingers and a thumb each. It is a skilled flyer and somewhat fast runner. Not very good at swimming. Breathes fire. Seems to absorb energy as a diet, might also eat meat. Also have movable ears next to horns.
Of course, I got all this from dream and phantom shifts, so I could be wrong.

Hmm, when you say that thing about changing color, the first thing that I thought of was diamonds or crystal, you know how it can show different colors depending on how the light falls on it...

@ Bulwark I never thought of that. Hmm... ? But it's not faceted, but then I guess that isn't natural for crystals. People carve them that way, but then some of them grow in a hexagonal prism shape. They always have very precise structure and alignment of atoms... And glass if made from sand and heat, yes? But I don't think it can grow like crystals. It is so weird that they grow, but then I guess it's just minerals building up. I have had dreams where I eat crystals, though. But then I also have dreams where I'm hunting, but I never actually eat what I chase. That's why I think I just take energy from it. Anyway, that's an interesting idea.

@ Kai I have heard of those, someone brought those to my attention on TW. But I'm not transparent, I have pigment. Like I said, white, blue, purple and black. The white is WHITE, not clear. XD But I'm not entirely sure if the color also changes with my mood, or if transparency is my original color. Hmm... I see John Howe did one of those pieces of art... but would I actually learn anything about those dragons by reading the books, or they not mentioned very often? Well, okay. When I was 10, when I decided I had the soul of a dragon, I would shift a lot (well, actually I guess I was constantly shifted, I've never felt human). I remember thinking that my soul was of a black dragon, who could shapeshift (part of that was being able to change color) and breathe fire. It also had a brightly colored stone on the end of the tail. And it never ate living things. Mostly crystals and stones, and the whole energy thing. The picture I'm using as my icon represents it pretty well... there are some differences, but nothing big. But I hadn't thought about that for... like 8 years. I rarely think about it now. But it looked quite a bit like how I do in dream shifts. Hmm. >

@seric: Oh, okay. I was under the impression you were more an translucent shade than a solid pigment.
I've actually only red the Dragon's Touchstone, which is supposed to be a prequel to the whole thing, and the dragon wasn't mentioned terribly often. I can't say for the rest of the series though. I haven't had access to a library in a long time to rent them.

@ Kai
Yeah, I worded that pretty badly. But the reason I think it's glass is because the inner parts are white, and the skin has a very hard/smooth feel to it. Imagine running your hand across wet glass, not just droplets, either, but a layer of water. That's how smooth it is. It feels wet, but it isn't. Uh... it's extremely super shiny and reflective, too... other than that, I don't really know how to describe it.

@seric: Okay, I know the feeling you're talking about now. I can see where you'd get glass from then too. So it's opaque yet shiny, reflective and extremely smooth to the touch. That about right?
