@ Kai
You watch Sgt. Frog? I've never actually seen it, but one of my fav voice actors is in it (Todd Haberkorn, I has his siggy. X3) is it as good as I hear it is? Which reminds me that Ling from FMA was in my dream last night.

Kai: I've just started watching it recently. I like Todd too, but there's another voice actor in it that plays the red frog (Christopher Sabat) who's voice is scarily swoon worthy.. ) o.0 Over all I've been enjoying it, but I fear I'll run out of dubbed episodes and I'm not sure what I'll do at that point. It's a little....spastic to watch in sub. I'd never be able to keep up with the reading. I'm not sure either. I think he was responding to your post...maybe. Where they believe what they said was awesome too. ^^;

I'm not sure anymore, haha. I don't like this book, it really makes me mad. The way the father acts, the religion bashing..all of it just makes this book hard for me to read. -Rail

Which book?
My thought: RPG today was soooo good. We ran a random dungeon and I gots to bust out my magic skeelz and we stayed pretty on track. Probably because the one who usually derails us on random conversation was gone tonight. ^^;

The thing that made me mad is really just the way those certain types of jews viewed Jesus. They didn't think he was the messiah, they thought he was fake and a man who brought pain and suffering to the world. They blaimed the world suffering...on Him. I'm very highly religious and I love God and Jesus, and I have to read this book who tears down basically the christian religion or anything doing with Jesus. They say, "that man" as if we were the devil. Then the way the father treats his son makes me mad, it's hard to explain unless you know the basics of the book. This is why I didn't want to share it on TherianDiscovery since it had to do with religion. -Rail

Well that is kind of how the beliefs of most Jews work these days. In the end times prophesies it says one of the signs is that a fraction of the Jews will turn back to God and accept Jesus. There's already a group for such people.
But I think a lot of what makes the Jews so harsh is they have rebellious, jealous older child syndrome. If you read the old testament and how they responded to God's commands, and then red the new testament around Acts when gentiiles get welcomed into the fold the Jews get pissy about it, and I almost think they've kept that, even do this day. =/

Yeah, it's kind of rediculous to keep that hatred. I guess in the end it will all come back to them, there's not much more that can be done. I just don't like reading books with a viewpoint against my religion, they don't like us. -Rail

@ Rail and Kai
My dad goes a small church group every Tuesday night, and one of the guys there had just come back from Israel. He said it was really hectic because he went during the Feast of Tabernacles. Apparently there and Christians, Jews, and Muslims there, but the Muslims run all of the religious stuff. Apparently there's also a LOT of tension between the three sects. I thought this was ironic, since all three are supposed to worship the same God.

Technically the Muslims don't worship Yahweh. They worship Allah, which (despite what people think) isn't the same god. They use to be polytheistic, and when the Israeli monotheism came to them they essentially too their moon god (Allah) and put him as their one god, rather than adopting the god of Israel.
Their Qur-an is very close in text to a lot of the Torah, but if you actually look at the character/personality of God vs Allah you'll see that the God of Israel is a personal god. He often reaches out to try and bring the people closer to them, or help them in times of need. It's also been shown that he tries to be a personal god. Wanting to have a serious relationship with each individual. Allah however never does such a thing. Rather it's the job of the mortal to worship and just be good. There's no relationship involved.
....my husband went to an event at church where they had a Muslim preacher type person come in and explain their religion, and then the two were compared.
I can kind of see why the Jews don't like us. If you didn't believe Yeshua was God's son then it would be pretty blasphemous for someone to claim that he was, but other than that minor detail I don't know of any major differences between Christianity and Judaism. =/

KaiSame here, as not knowing the differences and such. I kind of want to learn, but it seems with all the tension it wouldn't be too good. -Rail

I dunno, I think because there is tension it would be a better time to learn. It's best to be informed when there's conflict so you know where you stand. :3

That's very true, keeps me well informed...but I don't know when I'll get in an argument with someone about religion. So, I read more through this book and it's not too bad since it cooled down on what originally made me mad. I guess it's alright because it seems that sometimes religion was made to argue with as much as I've seen it argued about. I just love God, that's all. -Rail
